Rustins Damp Seal is a fast drying high performance interior paint which permanently covers damp, water stains and most household stains.

It dries with a long lasting permanent seal over damp walls and ceilings and can be over coated with gloss or emulsion paint as well as wallpaper.

Intended Use:

Special Features

Quick drying and can be over coated with gloss or emulsion paint as well as wall paper. It does not cure damp but allows trapped moisture to escape. Not for exterior use.

Preparation:

The surface must be clean and free from dust, loose paint and fungal growth or solid matter likely to interfere with the penetration of the sealer

Application:

Stir well before use and apply 2 liberal coats.

Coats:

Apply 2 coats and brush out approx. 30 cms beyond affected area.

Drying Time:

1-2 hrs. Re-coating Time 2 hrs between coats in warm conditions. Allow 2 hrs before applying a top coat or wall paper.

Application Temp:

Ideally 15-25 C. Do not use below 10 C or in conditions of high humidity. Coverage 7 square metres per litre depending on absorbency of surface being treated.

Compatibility:

Can be over coated with most oil based and water based paints. Settlement STIR WELL BEFORE USE.

Shelf-life/Storage:

A very long time if stored in a cool dry place with the lid firmly secured. Do not store below 10 C.

Hazards:

Flammable. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep product out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Clean-Up:

Remove as much product as possible from the brush and clean with Rustins Xylene Thinners or Rustins Brush Cleaner. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer.
